Hodges decides to go Bowling

Sacramento OT Scott Hodges (6-8, 310) was one of the top tackle prospects in the JUCO ranks this year and over the weekend, after visiting Bowling Green, he decided he wanted to end the recruiting process and gave his commitment to the Falcon coaches...

"I committed on Sunday to Bowling Green," a relieved Hodges told JCFootball.com. "I was really liking them a lot when I went out and visited them over the weekend and I just fell in love with it, so I decided I had seen all I needed to see.

"The staff, the players, the direction of the program, the atmosphere and the area, it all really fit me perfectly.

"I was going to visit another school, but when I got to Bowling Green, that was it. I knew I wanted to go there."

Hodges, a two-year starter for Sacramento, played left tackle as a freshman in 2009 and right tackle this season.

He said he's slated for the left side of the line once he arrives at his college of choice.

"They made it clear they wanted me at left tackle," Hodges said. "One of the things I really appreciated about them was that they wanted a JC tackle and they were looking at a couple of them, but they decided I was the one they wanted. That showed me what they thought of what I could do."

In addition to his offer from Bowling Green, Hodges also had offers from San Diego State, UNLV and New Mexico.

He will sign with Bowling Green on Wednesday (December 15th) and he will have three years to play two once he steps on campus in January.
