Big Ten school to get visit from Osunde

Kilgore CB Junior Osunde (5-11, 195) continues to focus his attention on recruiting and a new suitor has come into the picture. caught up with the talented defensive back prospect and he updated us on which Big Ten school will get a visit from him the first week of January...

"I'm visiting Minnesota January 7th," Osunde told "Since coach (Jerry) Kill was hired, they've been talking to me a lot and I just spoke to the assistants and they are trying to get me an offer, but the head coach wants to meet with me first.

"They have my highlight tape and they want to get me up there for a visit, so I'll go up there and check them out. I really like them a lot though."

Osunde already has offers from Florida International, Southern Miss, Southern Illinois, South Carolina State and Stony Brook and has visited FIU and Kansas State as well.

"Besides those schools, I'm hearing a lot from Cincinnati and Texas Tech and they could be getting in the mix soon, but right now they are just talking to me," Osunde noted.

As a two-year starter for Kilgore, Osunde was a playmaker at corner, grabbing eight interceptions while posting over 100 tackles and over 20 passes defensed in his time there.

Osunde already has his AA degree and can sign with a school anytime before the end of the mid-year signing period so he can enroll and be on campus in time to participate in spring football.
