Osunde decides to become a Golden Gopher

It didn't take long for Kilgore CB Junior Osunde (5-11, 195) to make his college choice once he got an offer from the school he was considering the most. On Wednesday, the talented DB prospect decided to end the recruiting process and committed to Minnesota head coach Jerry Kill...

"I just talked to coach Kill and he told me he really liked my film and that I was his guy," an excited Osunde told JCFootball.com. "He said he wanted me to come in and play and that was all I needed to hear."

Osunde had been getting heavy interest from Texas Tech and Cincinnati, but he said Minnesota was the right place for him.

"I like that they are building things there," Osunde said. "I'm going in there with the mindset that I'm going to start and that I can help them get to a bowl game."

As a two-year starter for Kilgore, Osunde was a playmaker at corner, grabbing eight interceptions while posting over 100 tackles and over 20 passes defensed in his time there.

Osunde said he's unsure whether he will sign his Letter-of-Intent before he takes his visit to Minnesota on January 7th or whether he will sign it while he's on campus.

He will be able to enroll for winter quarter and he will have three years to play two once he arrives.
