Sun Belt offer comes in for Mason

El Camino OT Miles Mason (6-4, 300) is one of the top JUCO offensive linemen still available and this week he pulled in an offer from a Sun Belt school and hopes to visit there in the very near future...

"FIU offered me this week," Mason told JCFootball.com recently. "They said they want to get me out on a visit and I'm probably going to head out there pretty soon to check things out.

"I just have to call and set up the date with them and I will probably visit them in the next few weeks."

I addition to his offer from Florida International, Mason also has offers from New Mexico State, Utah State and SMU, one of the two schools he's already visited, and he's getting heavy interest from Baylor as well.

"My visit to Baylor went great and same with SMU, but I'm still waiting to see what else is out there," Mason noted.

Mason only played football his freshman season of football while he was a prep at Santa Monica High School, suffering an injury that turned his focus to basketball for his last three years.

Then, after taking a year off, he enrolled at El Camino and redshirted in 2008 before starting every game the past two years at left tackle for the Warriors.

Mason is on pace to finish his AA in May and he will have two years to play two wherever he ends up.
