Six offers and counting for Breslin

One of the top returning JUCO pass-rushers in the state of California this year is Diablo Valley DE Morgan Breslin (6-3, 245). The talented pass-rusher has six offers already and more could be on the way in the near future...

"Things have been going really well for me and for my team," Breslin told JCFootball.com. "We are having a great spring. We have a couple weeks left and we're just working on a lot of things, trying to get better and doing what we need to do."

Breslin already had offers from Arizona and Nevada and recently he saw four more schools get into the mix.

"I already had the offers from Arizona and Nevada and now I have offers from Purdue, San Diego State, Boise State and Utah," Breslin noted. "I just got an offer from San Diego State. They saw me at school and said an offer is on the way and the rest have come in over the past few weeks.

"I have also been talking a lot with Fresno State and my coaches said a few other schools are looking at me too."

With all those offers, Breslin has begun to think about a timeline for making a decision, but admitted it could change.

"I'd like to take some unofficial visits this summer, but I'm not sure," Breslin said. "I'm keeping an open mind and would like to make a decision, but I want to visit some of the schools so we'll see what happens."

As a freshman last season, Breslin manned the weakside defensive end spot, and notched 54 tackles, an amazing 23.5 tackles-for-loss and 12 sacks.

"I'm quick off the ball, but more than anything, the work coach (John) Morales does, teaching and just pushing me, that's what has helped me the most," Breslin admitted.

Breslin was a non-qualifier after graduating from Las Lomas High School in nearby Walnut Creek, California, so he will need to finish his AA degree before he can sign with a four-year school.

He expects to finish things up this December and he will have three to play two wherever he ends up.
