Jackson is getting a lot of early attention

One of the top JUCO wideouts in the country the country promises to be Joliet's Korey Jackson (6-3, 185) and he's getting heavy interest from schools across the country. JCFootball.com caught up with the talented receiver recently and he updated us on where things stand...

"I had a really good spring," Jackson told JCFootball.com. "Honestly, with all the rain and stuff, we didn't throw the ball much, so I got a lot of work on my blocking and that will really help me to be the better in that area this season.

"Our team really came together well and I feel like we should have a really good season this fall."

As a freshman last fall, Jackson showed how explosive he could be when he posted 28 receptions for 529 yards and three touchdowns and he hopes to be even more explosive in 2011.

"They rotated me from the 'X' and the 'Z' and even in the slot a little," Jackson said. "My speed and my hands I think are what help me out a lot.

"I run good routes, but I need to get stronger and put on some more size, so that's what I'm doing this offseason."

Recruiting has been steady for the talented wideout who hails from Florida and he could be close to his first offer.

"I had a ton of schools come through and talk to me," Jackson said. "Indiana likes me a lot and they asked for my transcripts so they seem like they could be the closest to offering.

"Besides them, I have been talking a lot with Wisconsin, Purdue, Ole Miss, South Florida, UCLA and UCF and a bunch of other schools."

Jackson is on pace to finish up his two-year degree in December and he will have three to play two wherever he ends up.
