CCSF pivot is one to watch in 2011

City College of San Francisco is loaded along the offensive line yet again this year and the man in the middle, C Olle Norberg (6-2, 295), is already garnering attention from some FBS programs. caught up with the young man who mans the pivot of the Rams' offensive attack and he updated us on things...

Norberg hails from Sweden and said that CCSF's history with players from his country is what led him there.

"They had some Swedish players here before me that I talk to and its one of the most uccessful JC programs," Norberg said.

While he plays the center spot for the Rams, Norberg is also versatile enough to play the guard spot, a place he played at times in 2010.

Norberg is naturally strong, claiming a 380-pound bench press, but he said he knows he needs to improve upon a couple things in order to maximize his potential.

"I think my quick feet and lower-body strength are what make me good at my job," Norberg said. "This summer and offseason, I'm working on my speed and all the technical parts of my position because you can always improve on your technique."

As far as recruiting is concerned, Norberg has started to hear from a few four-year schools, but he's still waiting on that first offer.

"I have received letters from Auburn, San Diego State Aztecs, Nevada and Eastern Michigan, but I don't have any offers yet," Norberg said.

Norberg is on pace to graduate in December and he will have three years to play two wherever he ends up.
