Mississippi Gulf Coast LB Mario Gainer - Gainer is a thumper inside for the Bulldogs and has put up some big numbers for one of the top JUCO programs in the country, posting 60 tackles (41 solo) in four games.


Ridgewater LB Johnathan Cross - Cross has put up monster numbers so far this season, racking up 63 tackles (22 solo) in five games for the Warriors who are off to a 3-2 start.


Highland LB Brandon King - The freshman linebacker has looked great this season and has been a leader for the Scotties on the field, posting 62 tackles (32 solo) in five games.


L.A. Harbor LB Matt Willis - The Seahawks are off to a 3-1 start and Willis' leadership and skills are a big reason why their defense is allowing 22 points per game. Willis leads the team with 45 tackles (23 solo) from his linebacker position.


Chaffey LB Danny Reyes - Reyes is a leader both on and off the field for Chaffey and has posted 43 tackles (22 solo) while helping lead the Panthers to a 3-1 record.


Grossmont LB Donnie Walsh - The Griffins got their first win of the season last week, a 38-17 win over Orange Coast, and Walsh's eight tackles were a big reason why. So far this season, the freshman leads the team with 36 tackles (18 solo) from his outside linebacker position.


Santa Barbara LB Manny Hernandez - The top tackler in the state of California is Hernandez who has put up 58 total tackles (18 solo), but the Vaqueros still haven't gotten into the win column, starting the season 0-4.


Hinds LB Mitchell Hoskins - The freshman ‘backer has been outstanding for the Eagles so far this season posting 47 tackles (38 solo) from his outside linebacker spot.


College of Dupage LB D.J. Lemons - The Chapparals are off to a 3-2 start and one of the reasons has been Lemons' playmaking abilities, posting 45 tackles (24 solo) from his linebacker spot.


Coffeyville LB David Cooper - Cooper flies around, making plays all over the field for the Red Ravens and has posted 44 tackles.


El Camino LB Ivan McClennon - McClennon has been all over the field for the Warriors, leading the team with 29 tackles from his outside linebacker position.


Cerritos LB Jay Suai - The Falcons have struggled this season, but Suai has been a bright spot, leading the team with 25 tackles and 2.5 tackles-for-loss.


Foothill LB Nick Ortiz - The freshman linebacker has been outstanding for the Owls, posting a team-leading 22 tackles in three games and two tackles-for-loss while also showing good coverage-skills breaking up four passes as well.


Fresno LB Ato Lakatani - From his middle linebacker spot, Lakatani has been able to post a team-leading 19 tackles as well as two tackles-for-loss and a sack in three games for the 3-0 Rams.


San Mateo LB Tevita Lataimua - The freshman has been a bright spot on the Bulldogs' defense so far this season, posting 28 tackles from his inside linebacker position.


San Francisco LB Tyrone Ward - Ward ranks second on the team with 12 tackles. The starters rarely play much in the second half of their games as the Rams have outscored their three opponents by a combined score of 173-7.
