JCFootball.com: Top Linebackers (Updated)

JCFootball.com continues it's look around the country at some of the top performers at each position and today we take a look at a few of the top JUCO linebackers and how they've fared so far this season...

Santa Ana LB Dylan Reda - The Dons have won three in a row and Reda's play and leadership have been a big reason. This year, the talented linebacker prospect has put up nearly 10 tackles a game (47) and one sack.

Arizona Western LB Chris Young - In six games so far this year, Young has been amazing, posting 68 tackles, 21.5 tackles-for-loss, 6.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and 4 fumble recoveries all of which he has taken back for touchdowns. This past weekend, Young was all over the place in a 62-20 win over New Mexico Military, racking up 12 tackles, two sacks and he returned a blocked punt for a touchdown.

Mississippi Delta LB Brandon Powe - The sophomore tackling-machine ranks third in the MACJC with 72 tackles (49 solo) while also posting two sacks and an interception.

Lackawanna LB Marcus Spearman - Spearman might be a better fit at safety at the next level, but for the Falcons he has been a real force from his linebacker spot posting 50 tackles and a sack this season.

Erie LB Brian Doyle - Doyle has been outstanding for Erie this season, racking up nearly 50 tackles from his linebacker position.

College of the Siskiyous LB Travis Hansen - Hansen has been a standout for the Eagles this season, posting 35 tackles, two sacks and two interceptions in four games.

L.A. Harbor LB Elijah Sala - Heading into the season, Sala was on the watch list as one of the top JUCO linebacker prospects in the country and he's done nothing so far this season to prove otherwise, posting 21 tackles two sacks and two interceptions in five games for the Seahawks.

Santa Rosa LB Danny Decarlo - After five games Decarlo leads the Bear Cubs with 39 tackles and he also has one interception as well.

San Mateo LB Tevita Lataimua - Lataimua has been solid for the Bulldogs this season and has been a tackling machine, posting 42 tackles this season from his inside linebacker position.

Long Beach LB Holman Faatili - Faatili has had a solid first half of the season for Long Beach, posting 39 tackles, 3.5 tackles-for-loss and two sacks.

L.A. Pierce LB Jake Minster - Minster has 40 tackles so far this season including 14 in the Brahmas' first win of the season, a 28-20 win over Glendale.

Coffeyville LB David Cooper - Cooper continues to put up big numbers for the Red Ravens, ranking second in the KJCCC in tackles with 61 while also posting two sacks.

Kilgore LB Charles Woods - Woods has shown outstanding instincts this season racking up 45 tackles including 18 in and 1.5 sacks in five games.

Hudson Valley LB Nick Gilbo - In five games, the freshman middle linebacker has posted a team-leading 46 tackles including six tackles-for-loss and five sacks.

El Camino LB Kellen Lockwood - The talented outside linebacker plays the strongside spot in the Warriors' attacking defense and so far has posted 19 tackles and two sacks for undefeated El Camino.
