JCFootball.com: Top D-Linemen (Update)

JCFootball.com continues it's look around the country at some of the top performers at each position and today we take a look at a few of the top JUCO defensive linemen and how they've fared so far this season...

Foothill DT Russell Jones - At 6'1", 280 pounds, Jones has been too much for the Panthers' opponents to handle this season as he's rung up 27 tackles, 11 tackles-for-loss and 8.5 sacks.

ASA DE Davon Johnson - From his standout pass-rush position, Johnson has been outstanding posting 19 tackles and four sacks in just three games as a freshman this season.

ASA DT Wayne Williams - Along with Johnson, Williams makes a nice freshman duo for the Avengers using his 6'6", 340 pound frame and outstanding athleticism to post 10 tackles, 3.5 tackles-for-loss and three sacks so far this season.

Dean DL Lance Burlingame - At 6'5", 270 pounds, the freshman from Dean has been a real trouble-maker up front for Bulldog opponents and leads the team with three sacks and has also posted 18 tackles and 5.5 tackles-for-loss.

Allan Hancock DT Carlos Faumuina - The Bulldogs are having a good season and Faumuina has been a big reason why, posting 17 tackles, 6.5 tackles-for-loss and four sacks. With his impressive size (6'2", 295) and athleticism, Faumuina typically takes up double-teams which allows his teammates to run free.

Bakersfield DE Keylon Hollis - The freshman D-end really likes to get after the quarterback posting 17 tackles and a team-leading four sacks so far this season for the Gades.

Iowa Western DE Ty Branz - Branz is following up a solid freshman season with a stellar sophomore campaign, racking up 5.5 sacks to go along with 26 tackles this season for the Reivers.

North Dakota State College of Science DE Jeremy Gordon - Gordon has been a real force off the edge for the Wildcats this season, posting 21 tackles, 11 tackles-for-loss and four sacks this year.

Harper DE Trevor Svartoien - The redshirt freshman has been solid off the edge for the Hawks, posting 21 tackles and four sacks this season.

Feather River DE Emilious Davis - Davis continues to put up big numbers for a struggling Golden Eagle squad, nabbing 49 tackles and 4.5 sacks in five games.

East Central DE Lakenneth Weidman - The freshman leads the MACJC in sacks with 6.5 and also has 20 tackles to go along with four tackles-for-loss.

Holmes DE Bobby Hill - Hill, another freshman defensive end prospect, is right behind Weidman in the MACJC stats with six sacks, 38 tackles and seven tackles-for-loss.

Hinds DE Andrew Bolton - The freshman D-End had a huge game against Jones, posting 11 tackles (seven solo) and five sacks while helping the Eagles to a 34-7 win.

Hinds DE Dontrill Hyman - The other freshman end for the Eagles had a nine tackles (eight solo) and three sacks in Hinds' 34-7 win over Jones.
