JCFootball.com: Top Linebackers (Updated)

As we head toward the playoffs, some JUCO linebackers are really showing what they can do. JCFootball.com takes a look at just a few of them in today's look at the top prospects in the country at each position...

ASA LB Aaron Fant - The talented linebacker prospect finished the regular season leading the Bulldogs in tackles with 29 while posting nine tackles-for-loss, two sacks and one touchdown.

Erie LB Brian Doyle - Doyle finished the season with a team-leading 67 tackles, four tackles-for-loss, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

Lackawanna LB Marcus Spearman - Spearman had a great regular season, finishing with a team-leading 59 tackles, an amazing 16 tackles-for-loss and eight sacks.

De Anza LB Richard Ramirez - The freshman has been solid for De Anza this season leading the team with 56 tackles to go along with 8.5 tackles-for-loss, two sacks and an interception.

Reedley LB Jonathan Lytle - The talented freshman has had a very good season, posting 35 tackles, three tackles-for-loss and a sack for a Tigers team that has struggled this season.

Santa Rosa LB Danny Decarlo - DeCarlo has been a leader for the Bear Cubs, racking up 61 tackles, five tackles-for-loss and an interception.

Laney LB Dyllon Mafil - The talented linebacker has been a real force for Laney this season, posting 57 tackles, 12 tackles-for-loss and two sacks.

Golden West LB Chris Fiscus - The sophomore linebacker leads the Rustlers in tackles this season with 45 tackles to go along with 2.5 tackles-for-loss, one sack and three interceptions.

Mt. San Antonio LB Richard Thorpe - Thorpe leads the Mounties with 63 tackles and has eight tackles-for-loss, one sack and one interception so far this season.

San Bernardino Valley LB Marcus Pasquera - SBVC hasn't had the best season, but Pasquera has been a real playmaker for them on the defensive side of the ball racking up 55 tackles, 3.5 tackles-for-loss, one sack and one interception.

Blinn LB Eddie Porter - Heading into the season Porter was one of the top JUCO middle linebackers in the country and the Texas A&M commit has done nothing to dispel that way of thinking, racking up 58 tackles, five tackles-for-loss, three sacks and one interception for the undefeated Buccaneers.

Ellsworth LB Dashawn Cason - Even though he's only a freshman, Cason has been huge for the Panthers this season leading the team with 68 tackles (38 solo) so far.

New Mexico Military LB Brandon Bennett - Bennett leads NMMI with 50 tackles to go along with 3.5 tackles for loss.

Snow LB Matthew Tanuvasa - The freshman linebacker leads the Badgers in tackles with 51 and also has five tackles-for-loss.
