Top 10 Running Backs: Western States Conf.

Now that the regular season has come to an end, we at have started to look at the top 10 performers at each position in each JUCO conference and today we take a look at the top running backs in the WSFL...

1) Arizona Western RB Damien Williams - Williams made it very easy for the Matadors to forget the loss of All-American Reggie Bullock, but posting 1,786 yards rushing and 24 touchdowns. Williams signed with Arizona State out of high school and has the Sun Devils very high on his list of schools that are recruiting him.

2) New Mexico Military RB Maximillian Thompson - The talented tailback had an excellent freshman campaign for the Broncos rushing for 823 yards and eight scores in 2011.

3) Glendale RB Anthony Hughes - Hughes had a solid season for Glendale, rushing for 734 yards and eight touchdowns in just nine games this season. At 5'10", 185 pounds, Hughes is a slasher who uses his vision and quickness to keep the chains moving.

4) Glendale RB Jamil Hines - Hines and Hughes split carries in 2011 and where Hughes was more of the "lightning", Hines was definitely the "thunder" using his 5'7", 215-pound frame to rush for 717 yards and eight touchdowns.

5) Eastern Arizona RB Rashon Evans - Evans was a playmaker for EAC this fall, rushing for 660 yards and nine touchdowns in 2011.

6) New Mexico Military RB Celento Hairston - Hairston had a very nice average in 2011, rushing for 651 yards on only 94 carries and nine touchdowns.

7) Snow RB Breon Allen - The diminutive freshman from South Daytona, Florida, had a solid season, rushing for 637 yards and seven touchdowns.

8) Mesa RB Michael Allen - Allen, a freshman, had an outstanding freshman season, rushing for 570 yards and four scores for the Thunderbirds in 2011.

9) New Mexico Military RB E.J. Perkins-Loving - Perkins-Loving is the third of the triple-threat in the Broncos' backfield, carrying the ball 67 times in seven games for 425 yards and six touchdowns.

10) Eastern Arizona RB Devin Mohn - Mohn is a physical runner, using his 5'11", 215 pounds to hammer away at defenses and rushed for 466 yards in eight games for the Gila Monsters this season.
