Santa Ana QBs both make commitments

This season, Santa Ana had the luxury of having two big-time signal-callers at their disposal and over the weekend each QB, Andrew McDonald and Duke Delancelotti, made their decisions to go to schools who they have a chance to earn playing time with right away...

McDonald was a two-year starter for the Dons, throwing for over 4,200 yards, 50 touchdowns and 17 interceptions while completing nearly 65% of his passes over the past two seasons.

The talented sophomore has enough athleticism to get outside the pocket and be a threat to run and also shows a strong arm and good decision-making skills.

This weekend he took a visit to New Mexico State and decided that he'd seen enough and elected to commit to the Aggies.

Delancelotti didn't see very many reps the past two seasons since McDonald was the starter, but he provided security for the Santa Ana coaches who knew if McDonald went down, their offense wouldn't miss a beat.

He took a visit to Texas State over the weekend and committed while he was on his trip.

Both will have three years to play two when the arrive at their destinations.
