Latu talks recruiting and visits

This season one of the most sought-after JUCO offensive linemen was College of the Canyons OT Will Latu (6-5, 310). The native of St. Petersburg, Florida thought he had found the place he would play the remainder of his college football career, however things have changed and he has re-opened his recruitment...

"I was all set to go to Auburn, but after they reviewed my classes and credits, I wasn't going to be able to enroll there until right before the start of fall camp in August, so we sorta parted ways," Latu said. "Florida State was trying to bring me in this week, but they are in the same place as Auburn and they dropped me earlier this week, so now I'm down to a couple more schools and I'll decide after I take those visits."

The two schools he is focused on are Oklahoma and Arizona State and both schools are making a heavy push for his services.

"Coach (Bruce) Kittle from Oklahoma is supposed to come and see me and I'm planning to go up there next weekend (January 20th) and I'm set up to visit Arizona State on January 27th," Latu noted. "After that, I will still have a visit left and I don't know if I will take it or not, but I'm thinking about visiting somewhere. We'll see."

This past spring and summer, Latu was one of the most prized JUCO offensive linemen in the country, hauling in offers from across the country including schools from the Pac 12, SEC, Big 12 and Big East.

He has quick feet, long arms and he plays with a mean-streak that had schools drooling over his potential.

We will continue to keep track of Latu's progress and we'll update news as it happens.
