Blinn's Grice has a change of heart

One of the top JUCO runners in the country is no longer committed to a school and that means that over the next few weeks, Blinn RB Marion Grice (6-0, 215) will be traveling while looking for a home. JCFootball.com caught up with the talented tailback recently and he updated us on things...

"I'm no longer committed to Texas A&M and I'm looking for a new school," Grice told JCFootball.com. "I decided that I just didn't want to go there with the coaching change and all that. I felt like it was the best thing for me to open it back up and see what other options I have."

One of the other options is Arizona State a school which offered him quite a while back and a place where he visited just last weekend.

"It was a real good visit there," Grice said. "Cameron Marshall was my host and I spent a lot of time getting to know the new coaches there and seeing what the program is all about."

Other options include Houston, a school he plans to visit next weekend (January 27th) as well as Auburn a new school to enter the picture.

"I'm from Houston, so I'm supposed to go visit there next weekend," Grice noted. "Auburn and a lot of schools are showing interest, but they wanted to get a look at my transcripts and see where I'm at before they offer and I have to send those out, probably (Friday).

"I'm not looking to rush things, so I might need to go past Signing Day (February 1st) and make sure I find the right school. I'll probably take a couple more visits and then decide."

As a freshman, Grice rushed for nearly 1,200 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2010 and followed that up in 2011 with nearly 1,100 yards rushing and 16 scores.

He said he's still on pace to graduate in May and he will have three years to play two wherever he ends up.
