Top JUCO DT is still looking for a home

It's an amazing thing when someone as disruptive and productive as Foothill DL Russell Jones (6-1, 270) goes unnoticed or unreckognized through the recruiting process, but that has begun to change over the past month or so. The talented line prospect informed JCFootball.com that he's been taking visits and has two offers and one more could be on the way...

"I have offers from Indiana State, Northern Colorado and I will probably have an offer from South Dakota this week," Jones told JCFootball.com over the weekend. "I have visited Northen Colorado already and I'll be visiting Indiana State on the 20th (of April) and South Dakota on the 22nd (of April)."

As an interior defensive lineman for the Panthers this past season, Jones was nearly unstoppable, posting 54 tackles, an amazing 16.5 tackles-for-loss and 11 sacks.

"He definitely made things easier for me on the outside," freshman DE Tyree Barton told JCFootball.com earlier this spring. "He's so disruptive that he gets you one-on-one matchups and that helped all of us create a lot of problems for opposing offenses."

Jones has already graduated and he currently has three years to play two wherever he decides to sign.

JCFootball.com will continue to keep track of his progress and will update news as it happens.
