Hutchinson CB talks about his decision

Earlier this month, Hutchinson CB Prince Holloway (5-10, 167) made the decision to commit to Arizona, but up until recently he hadn't talked to the media. Today, JCFootball.com gets the story on why he committed so early in the recruiting process as well as what he does best on the field...

Holloway prepped at Cape Coral (Fl.) High School and received quite a bit of recruiting attention, but after he decided to sign with Michigan, he figured out he was going to be unable to qualify.

"Hutchinson was out of the way and they have a great staff here," Holloway told JCFootball.com. "I knew I could go and get things straight and then I'd be able to play D-1 ball."

As a freshman this past season, Holloway redshirted and this fall he will be in the Blue Dragons' secondary locking things down.

"I feel comfortable in man-to-man, but I definitely want to get stronger," Holloway said. "I want to get bigger and stronger and this offseason I've been trying to put on some pounds."

As noted above, Holloway had planned to sign with Michigan when Rich Rodriguez was the Wolverines' head coach and now that he is with Arizona, the talented corner said he was ready to join him in the desert.

"He and his staff were recruiting me when they were at West Virginia and at Michigan," Holloway said. "I love their staff and the aggressive defense they play and I felt like I would benefit the most from going to be with them at Arizona."

In addition to his offer from the Wildcats, Holloway said he has received and offer from Indiana and that South Florida was close to offering.

He is on pace to finish up his AA degree in December and he will have three years to play three following the 2012 football season.
