JCFootball.com - Top RB Performances

A look at some of the top running back performances over the past week and which players are standing out for their team. This is by no means all-inclusive, but just a snapshot of some of the players who had big-time performances over the weekend...

Yuba RB Juan Johnson - Johnson, a preseason All-American candidate, showed everyone why he should be getting looks from BCS schools from all over by posting 349 yards and one touchdown in a 33-20 loss to Gavilan.

American River RB Devontae Booker - If it weren't for Johnson's huge day, Booker would be the toast of the town after posting 291 yards and five touchdowns on 22 carries in a 59-9 win over Monterey.

Allan Hancock RB Cameron Artis-Payne - Artis-Payne is great athlete and an even better tailback. He used his ideal size (5'11, 215) and speed (4.45) to punish Santa Barbara last weekend to the tune of 159 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries in a 41-19 win.

Fort Scott RB Stanley Hagan - In the Greyhounds' first two games, the talented freshman has posted 420 yards on the ground and a touchdown.

Central Lakes RB Beau Bellmore - Bellmore has looked solid so far this season for the Raiders who are off to a 1-1 start. The talented sophomore has carried the rock 52 times for 249 yards and four touchdowns.

Navarro RB Traylon Shead - The Texas bounceback posted 129 yards and three touchdowns in the Bulldogs' 54-34 win over Hutchinson. So far this season, Shead has racked up 212 yards and four touchdowns for 2-0 Navarro.

Mt. San Jacinto RB Superiorr Reid - The freshman tailback had a huge game to start the season, rushing for 259 yards and one touchdown in the Eagles' 31-28 win over Santa Monica.

Palomar RB Chad Dobbins - Dobbins got his sophomore campaign off to a good start, rushing for 170 yards in the Comets' 20-7 win over El Camino.

Jones RB Reuben Ducksworth - The Mississippi schools started their season a week later than the rest of the NJCAA programs, but the wait didn't hurt Ducksworth at all as he posted 180 yards and one touchdown in Jones' 10-8 win over Holmes.

ASA RB James Kenner - Kenner was a big-time player for the Avengers in their 61-0 win over the Albright JV, posting 127 yards and one touchdown on just 12 carries. This week he should see a much stiffer test when ASA takes on Hudson Valley.
