(UPDATED 9/26/12) A look at some of the top running back performances over the past week and which players are standing out for their team so far this season. This is by no means all-inclusive, but just a snapshot of some of the players who had big-time performances over the weekend...

Allan Hancock RB Cameron Artis-Payne - Artis-Payne has been nearly unstoppable this year, but this past weekend, in the Bulldogs' 49-40 win over Moorpark, he ran roughshod over the Raiders' defense carrying the ball 28 times for 239 yards and four touchdowns. So far this season, in four games, the talented sophomore has rushed for 785 yards and 11 touchdowns while leading Allan Hancock to a 3-1 record.


City College of San Francisco RB Kris Olugbode - Olugbode has been solid so far this season for the Rams, rushing for 533 yars and four touchdowns including last week's 134-yard, one-touchdown performance in CCSF's 35-31 win over Fresno.


Palomar RB Chad Dobbins - Dobbins had a huge game this past weeken, racking up 233 yards and three scores, but the Comets still fell to Orange Coast by a score of 35-28. So far this season, the talented sophomore has posted 494 yards and three touchdowns in four games.


Ventura RB Willie Willis - Willis had a huge fourth quarter for the Pirates in last week's thrilling 30-24 4 overtime victory over Bakersfield, rushing for 80 yards in the final stanza to help his team get the win and staying undefeated.


West L.A. RB Steven Cross - The talented sophomore had a huge game in West L.A.'s 31-21 loss to Santa Monica, rushing for 138 yards on 16 carries while also hauling in 12 receptions for 106 yards. So far this season, Cross has 327 yards rushing with a touchdown and also has 19 receptions for 200 yards and another score in four games.


Sacramento RB Logan Lanier - The talented tailback rushed for 120 yards and a score in Sac City's 27-20 win over Reedley last week. So far this season, in four games, Lanier has rushed for 488 yards and two touchdowns.


Snow RB Breon Allen - In Snow's 50-33 win over Glendale, Allen was practically unstoppable, racking up 281 yards and three scores for the Badgers. So far this season, Allen has been outstanding rushing for 648 and nine touchdowns in four games.


Coffeyville RB Andre Allen - The freshman had a huge game last Saturday, rushing for 192 yards in the Red Ravens' 38-19 win over Independence. This season, Allen has seen plenty of action for Coffeyville, rushing for 392 yards and two scores in spot duty.


Arizona Western RB DeSean Martin - Martin had a huge game last Saturday, carrying the ball 20 times for 179 yards with one touchdown while also hauling in two receptions for 90 yars and another score and also threw a 30-yard touchdown pass in Arizona Western's 63-38 win over Scottsdale.


Iowa Central RB Jontel Clayton - Last Saturday, in Iowa Central's 30-27 win over Air Force JV, Clayton rushed 25 times for 121 yards and one touchdown. So far this season, Clayton has rushed for 325 and our scores as his team gets ready to start Midwest Conference play.


Navarro RB Traylon Shead - In last week's 45-34 loss to Kilgore, the Texas bounceback carried the ball 14 times for 109 yards and four touchdowns.


Hinds RB Jabari Baker - In Hinds' 21-6 loss to Copiah-Lincoln, Baker carried the ball 23 for 137 yards. In four game so far this year, the talented sophomore tailback has rushed for 469 yard and five touchdowns.
