(UPDATED 10/10/12) A look at some of the top running back performances over the past week and which players are standing out for their team so far this season. This is by no means all-inclusive, but just a snapshot of some of the players who had big-time performances over the weekend...

Riverside RB E.J. Schexnayder - In Riverside's 45-28 win over Fullerton, the bruising sophomore runner powered his way to 181 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries while also hauling in four receptions for 41 yards. On the season, Schexnayder has 548 yards and five touchdowns while helping to lead the Tigers to a 4-1 record.


College of the Desert RB Tyewan Johnson - Johnson was huge in Desert's 52-50 win over Orange Coast College last weekend, rushing for 194 yards and two scores in the win. This season, the sophomore tailback has managed to post 345 yards on the ground and five touchdowns.


Yuba RB Jeremy Williams - Williams had a great game for Yuba last week rushing for 114 yards and a touchdown while also throwing for a score as well.


Sacramento RB Logan Lanier - Lanier was a big reason that Sacramento City was able to blow out Merced 41-15, rushing for 229 yards on 35 carries and tallying three touchdowns on the day. On the season, the talented runner has posted 895 yards and five touchdowns while also hauling in 29 receptions for 234 yards and two touchdowns in six games.


Butler RB Dreamius Smith - In seven games so far this season, Smith has already racked up 900 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns including his 193-yard, three-touchdown effort in the Grizzlies' 84-13 win over Garden City.


Hutchinson RB Terrell Lane - Lane was a workhorse for the Blue Dragons last week in their 66-7 win over Air Force Prep, carrying the ball 22 times for 184 yards and three touchdowns. This season, Lane has put up 976 yards and 11 touchdowns in six games.


Navarro RB Tyler Middleton - Middleton had a huge game last week in Navarro's big 52-35 win over Tyler, rushing for 177 yards and two scores.


Eastern Arizona RB Devin Mohn - Mohn carried the ball 15 times for 120 yards and one touchdown in Eastern Arizona's 14-7 loss to Glendale.


Snow RB Breon Allen - Allen had a huge game last week in Snow's 45-14 win over Pima, carrying the ball 23 times for 152 yards and two touchdowns while also hauling in three receptions for 37 yards and one more touchdown. In six games, the talented sophomore has posted 925 yards and 12 touchdowns.


Fort Scott RB Stanley Hagan - Hagan had a big game in Fort Scott's 54-17 win over Independence last week, rushing for 168 yards and a touchdown while also hauling in three receptions for 36 more yards.


ASA RB Hosey Williams - Williams has been stellar for the Avengers so far this season, rushing for 741 yards and 10 touchdowns including last week's 166-yard, two-touchdown effort in his team's 69-14 win over Dean.
