(10/16/2012) A look at some of the top quarterback performances over the past week and which players are standing out for their team. This is by no means all-inclusive, but just a snapshot of some of the players who had big-time performances over the weekend...

DeAnza QB Joshua McCain - The talented sophomore signal-caller almost single-handedly kept the Dons in the game against City College of San Francisco, passing for 383 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 120 yards and two more scores. In the end, CCSF escaped with a 46-39 win.

Modesto QB TeeJay Gordon - Gordon had a huge game in the Pirates' 47-43 win over College of the Sequoias last week, hitting on 28 of his 37 attempts for 413 yards and five touchdowns on no interceptions. For the season, the talented freshman has completed 67.7% of his passes for 1,447 yards, 13 touchdowns and just three interceptions.

College of the Sequoias QB Tyler Ferguson - Not to be outdone by Gordon, Ferguson was also on it for the Giants, going 26 of 45 for 354 yards and four scores. For the season, the freshman has completed 136 of his 236 attempts (57.6%) for 1,704 yards, 16 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Diablo Valley QB Quinn Kaehler - DVC destroyed Reedley over the weekend, getting a 49-21 victory and Kaehler was a big reason why going 20 of 38 for 441 yards with five touchdowns and one interception. For the season, the sophomore signal-caller is hitting on 61.4% of his passes for 2,813 yards with 28 touchdowns and seven picks.

Shasta QB Austin Schmeltzer - Schmeltzer had a huge game in Shasta's 56-49 loss to Los Medanos, going 12 of 22 for 201 yards five touchdowns and one interception while also rushing for 118 yards and two more scores.

Ventura QB Ebahn Feathers - The sophomore quarterback went 25 of 38 for 289 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for another touchdown in Ventura's wild 44-37 win over College of the Canyons. The win got the Pirates to 7-0 for only the second time in the program's 87-year history. On the season, Feathers has completed 132 of his 231 attempts (57.1%) for 1,534 yards, 16 touchdowns and only six interceptions.

Riverside QB Zach Adkins - Atkins was huge in 63-35 win over El Camino, completing 24 of his 35 pass attempts for 385 yards and five touchdowns. Atkins is hitting on 75.0% of his passes so far this season for 1,979 with an incredible 24 touchdowns and only one interception.

Citrus QB Bernard Porter - In Citrus' 50-17 win over College of the Desert, Porter, a freshman, was practically unstoppable, completing Completed 25 of his 44 passes for 399 yards and four touchdowns.

L.A. Harbor QB Brandon Edwards - The sophomore quarterback played valiantly in Harbor's 52-42 loss to Mt. San Antonio, going 11 of 23 for 192 yards when he dropped back while also rushing for 100 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries.

Saddleback QB Tim Belman - It was a struggle, but Saddleback got a 44-29 win over Fullerton last week and Belman was a big reason why, going 38 of 58 for 445 yards with four touchdowns and one interception.

Orange Coast QB Cameron Biedgoly - In OCC's 45-38 loss to Santa Ana, the freshman did everything he could to keep the Pirates in the game, going 28 of 50 for 417 yards and five touchdowns with no interceptions.

Santa Monica QB Alfonso Medina - Medina had a solid first half for Santa Monica last week, hitting on 17 of his 31 attempts for 274 yards with three touchdowns in Santa Monica's 68-0 win over L.A. Southwest. For the season, the sophomore signal-caller has completed 57.1% of his passes for 1,309, 17 touchdowns and two intercptions while leading his team to a 5-1 record.

Tyler QB Tyrik Rollison - Last week, Rollison went 16 of 22 for 343 yard and three touchdowns in the Apaches' 84-28 win over Cisco.

Hutchinson QB Luke Barnes - In the Blue Dragons' 75-0 win over Independence, Barnes hit on 23 of his 34 attempts for 319 yards with five touchdowns (27, 47, 56, nine and 23) and one interception. For the season, Barnes has hit on 65.3% of his passes for 2,375 yards, 30 touchdowns and three interceptions.

Mississippi Gulf Coast QB Clint Hatten - The talented sophomore was lights out last week for Gulf Coast, hitting on 21 of his 28 attempts for 306 yards and two touchdowns in the Bulldogs' 69-17 win over Southwest Mississippi.

Northeastern Oklahoma A&M QB Clayton Mitchem - Mitchem went 18 of 26 for 278 yards and four touchdowns in the Golden Norsemen's 42-24 win over a very good Kilgore squad.

New Mexico Military QB Quinn Billerman - Billerman, a freshman, had a solid game, but NMMI still lost to Eastern Arizona 45-34 as he went 21 of 34 for 252 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
