(UPDATED 10/18/12) A look at some of the top running back performances over the past week and which players are standing out for their team so far this season. This is by no means all-inclusive, but just a snapshot of some of the players who had big-time performances over the weekend...

Santa Ana RB Areseo Lakey - The talented sophomore had 155 yards and one touchdown on 17 carries. In six games he has 598 yards and four touchdowns.


Moorpark RB Maxx Lunn - The freshman tailback racked up 136 yards rushing and one touchdown on 30 carries and also had two receptions for 27 yards in Moorpark's first win of the season, a a 36-15 victory over Pasadena.


Fullerton RB Lavorrie Johnson - Johnson, a freshman, hasn't gotten a lot of carries so far this year, but last week in Fullerton's 44-29 loss to Saddleback he had 116 yards and a touchdown.


Orange Coast RB Robert Penny - In OCC's 45-38 loss to Santa Ana last weekend, Penny had a solid game totaling 118 yards on 28 carries. So far this season, the talented sophomore has 726 yards and nine touchowns.


Victor Valley RB Jemeryn Jenkins - Jenkins lit up East Los Angeles in Victor Valley's 40-34 loss to ELAC, rushing for 152 yards and one touchdown. For the season he has 412 yards and two touchdowns while splitting carries with Anthony Lewis, Farrell Victor and Shamel David.


Butte RB Cameron Mikell - Mikell almost single-handedly led the Roadrunners to a 21-6 win over Santa Rosa last week, racking up 206 yards and kept the chains moving all night, allowing his teammates to get some short touchdowns. So far this season, Mikell has rushed for 655 yards and two scores.


City College of San Francisco RB Kris Olugbode - Olugbode has been the man in the CCSF backfield this season, rushing for 873 yards and 11 touchdowns in six games including last week's 124-yard, two touchdown effort in the Rams' 46-39 win over DeAnza.


College of the Sequoias RB D'Wayne Childs - The freshman had a big game last week, rushing for 213 yards and a touchdown, but the Giants still lost by a score of 47-43 to Modesto.


West Hills RB Cameron Boyd - Last week in West Hills' 54-30 loss the Laney, Boyd totaled 232 yards and three touchdowns.


Itawamba RB Courtney Gladney - Gladney had a huge game for Itawamba last week, rushing for 165 and two touchdowns on 26 carrues in a 31-28 win over Coahoma.


Snow RB Breon Allen - Allen carried the ball 19 times for 140 and one touchdown in the Badgers' 57-9 win over Mesa last week. Allen has rushed for 1,062 yards and 13 touchdowns on the season.


Jones RR Kalif Koen - The freshman got only six carries in 50-15 win over Hinds, but still managed to run for 122 yards and two scores on the day.


Northwest Misssippi RB Damian Baker - The talented freshman back rushed for 189 yards and one touchdown while hauling in four receptions for 44 yards and another score in Northwest Mississippi's 32-20 win over Holmes.
