Woolley is mulling his offers

After a standout freshman season, College of the Canyons LB Jake Woolley (6-4, 230) found himself with a Pac 12 offer in hand. However, now, after a solid sophomore season, he's having to re-evaluate things and he spoke to JCFootball.com recently about his offers, his options and what he has coming up...

"I had an offer from Arizona, but I waited too long," Woolley told JCFootball.com. "I wanted to wait and see what other options I might have before I made my decision, but by that time, they had like five guys commit to them, so they pulled my offer.

"Right now I have offers from Old Dominion and South Dakota and I'm hearing a lot from Portland State. I may take a trip up there in the next week or so and if that happens, I am hoping they will offer. It sounds like they will if I visit." y works his guys hard and pushes them. That's really made a big difference for me."

As a freshman last season, Woolley notched 49 tackles, three sacks and an interception while playing the SAM (strongside) linebacker spot for Canyons, earning Second Team All-Conference honors in the process and this season he finished with 29 tackles, two sacks and one interceptions.

"I was asked to do it all for our team," Woolley said. "We play a 3-3 most of the time, but we also play a lot of 3-4, so I was asked to rush the quarterback, drop into coverage and play the run. I feel comfortable with all of the aspects of playing linebacker."

Since he was a full-qualifier out of high school, Woolley plans to sign with a school in December and will have three years to play two wherever he ends up.
