Hardison talks recruiting

Before and during the 2012 football season, Dodge City DT Marcus Hardison was one of the most sought-after prospects in the country. Now, with his season over, he's got some decisions to make and he updated JCFootball.com on where things stand on the recruiting front and which schools will be getting visits before he decides where he will play in 2013...

"I visited Kansas State unofficially last week and I'm going to visit them on the 14th (of December) officially," Hardison told JCFootball.com. "This weekend I'm visiting West Virginia and I'm probably going to set up a visit with Florida State, but I'm not really sure when that will happen."

In addition to those visits, Hardison has already taken an official trip to Arizona State and said he enjoyed his trip to Tempe to check out what the Sun Devils had to offer.

"It was a really good trip there," Hardison said. "They treated me well and I like their program and the direction it's going in.

"I just want to take these last couple visits and see how they all compare and then I will make my decision.

"I want to go home and just think about things. I will probably make my decision before the end of the year though."

As a freshman in 2011, Hardison posted 46 tackles and three sacks from his defensive end position and this past season he racked up 50 tackles and four sacks while playing nearly every position along the Conqs' defensive line.

We will continue to keep tabs on Hardison and will update news as it happens with him.
