Top JUCO safety will visit Texas Tech

Iowa Western S Isaiah Johnson (6-1, 210), who is currently committed to Kansas, recently received an offer from Texas Tech and told JCFootball.com that he will visit Lubbock next week...

"Texas Tech just offered me," Johnson told JCFootball.com via text. "I'm visiting there next Friday (1/25)."

Johnson reiterated that he remains committed to Kansas, the school he committed to back in early December.

In addition to his offers from Kansas and Texas Tech, Johnson also has full rides from the likes of Alcorn State, Illinois, New Mexico, Northern Iowa, South Alabama and Wyoming.

Johnson finished the season with 41 tackles and a team-leading tied for the lead nationally with eight interceptions from his safety position while helping to lead the Reivers to the National Title.

He will graduate in May and will have three years to play three wherever he ends up.
