A dozen offers and counting for Hill

After a solid freshman season that saw him become one of the more versatile JUCO playmakers, Garden City RB/Slot Tyreek Hill (5-9, 187) has already hauled in a dozen offers and more schools are close to extending full rides. JCFootball.com caught up with him recently and he updated us on where things stand and what sets him apart from the rest...

"Right now I have offers from Alabama and Tennessee, Nebraska and Arizona State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Kansas State, USC, UCLA and Baylor and I'm pretty sure Arkansas has too, but I'm not totally sure yet on them," Hill told JCFootball.com. "A bunch of other schools were by during spring ball and they like me a lot, but right now, they haven't offered quite yet."

As a freshman in 2012, Hill was outstanding as both a runner and a receiver, totaling nearly 400 yards on the ground while scoring two touchdowns and also hauling in 35 receptions for 713 yards and five scores as a receiver.

"I'm pretty good in space and that's what a lot of coaches like about me," Hill noted. "I can run inside or outside and I'm a pretty good receiver, but I've been working a lot on my footwork and my routes just because I'm probably going to be playing slot a lot at the next level."

Hill enjoyed a solid prep career in Georgia, but was unable to qualify, so he started to look around at junior college programs and settled on Garden City.

"They were actually the only one that contacted me and my mom also stays out in Oklahoma so I was still able to be close to her too," Hill said.

He is on pace to graduate in December and he will have three years to play two following the 2013 football season.
