Top Performers - Defensive Linemen

Several JUCO defensive linemen had very good games over the weekend. Here is a look at who stood out last week and who has had a solid start to their seasons so far...

Diablo Valley DT Tui Talia - Talia, an Oregon commit, can play almost anywhere along the defensive line, but this year he'll play more inside than outside. With that in mind, he had a solid start to his season last week as he posted seven tackles, one tackle-for-loss and two sacks, but Diablo Valley still fell by a score of 41-9 to City College of San Francisco.

Butte DE Sie Doe - Doe led the Roadrunners with nine tackles (six solo) and also posted 1.5 sacks and 2.5 tackles-for-loss as Butte handled Feather River 45-14.

Butte DE Mike Fratianni - Like his teammate, Fratianni had a solid day for the Roadrunners, leading the charge to the quarterback with two sacks while also posting four tackles (three solo) in Butte's 45-14 win over Feather River.

Sacramento DT Raymond Coen - From his interior spot, Coen posted six tackles, four tackles-for-loss and three sacks while helping to lead the Panthers to a 37-31 win over Sierra.

City College of San Francisco DE David Tameilau - The Rams had a relatively easy time in downing Diablo Valley 41-9 and Tameilau had a solid game up front, posting eight tackles (three solo), 2.5 tackles-for-loss and one sack in the win.

Long Beach DT Augafa Vaaulu - Vaaulu, a bounceback from New Mexico State, had nine tackles (four solo) and 1.5 sacks in Long Beach's 41-21 loss to Fullerton.

Los Angeles DT Jeremiah Ieremia - Harbor lost to Cerritos 50-19, but Ieremia had a solid day up front for the Seahawks posting three tackles, two tackles-for-loss and 1.5 sacks.

Santa Ana DE Jeff Worthy - The Arizona-bound prospect had a team-leading 10 tackles, one sack and two tackles-for-loss, but Santa Ana couldn't overcome some early mistakes and lost to Bakersfield 24-9.

Bakersfield DE/DT Clinton Carter - Carter is one of our favorites here on JCFootball.com and he had a solid day in the Gades' 24-9 win over Santa Ana as he posted four tackles and a sack while playing multiple positions along the defensive front.

Iowa Western DT Ashton Henderson - Henderson had four tackles, one sack, one tackle-for-loss and a fumble recovery in the Reivers' 61-0 blowout win over Ellsworth last week. In three games, the sophomore has nine tackles, two tackles-for-loss and a sack from his nose tackle spot.

Arizona Western DE Anthony Olobia - Olobia had eight tackles (five solo) and one sack in Arizona Western's 42-15 romp over Eastern Arizona last weekend. In three games so far this season, Olobia has 14 tackles, 5.5 tackles-for-loss and 1.5 sacks.

Coffeyville DT Rashad Dillard - Dillard posted solid numbers last week in the Red Ravens' 37-19 win over Northeastern Oklahoma A&M as he registered seven tackles (five solo) and one sack.

Iowa Western DT Shaquille Wells - Wells, a freshman, is counted on to stop the run and in two games he's totaled 14 tackles (six solo), but last week he showed the ability to get to the quarterback too, totaling 1.5 sacks, to go along with two tackles, in the Tritons' 66-19 win over Dakota College at Bottineau.

Hinds DT Darrel Davis - The freshman had a great game vs. Coahoma, posting nine tackles (five solo) in a 55-20 win by Hinds.

Monroe DT Sumir Burns - Burns had 11 tackles and blocked field goal in the Mustangs' 33-23 loss to Dean last week. So far, the freshman leads Monroe in tackles with 19 stops in two games.

Blinn DE Kyle Holmes - Holmes had four tackles, three tackles-for-loss and three sacks in Blinn's 55-7 over Southeast Prep.
