Top Performers - Wide Receivers

Several JUCO wideouts had huge games for their respective teams last weekend and one, Feather River's LaVon Pearson, had a record-setting day. Here is a look at who did what last week as well as a few that are standing out so far this season...

Feather River WR LaVon Pearson - As we noted in our open, Pearson had a record-setting day for the Golden Eagles, posting 19 receptions for 311 yards and three touchdowns, but Feather River still dropped their game to Sierra 46-43. The talented wideout has two early offers -- Illinois and Tennessee -- and with his physical talents and huge productivity, expect more and more to start flocking to Quincy, California to see what he can do.

Sierra WR Zack Suarez - While Pearson's numbers were eye-popping, Suarez also had a big day, hauling in nine receptions for 118 yards and two scores in the Wolverines' 46-43 win over Feather River.

American River WR Tyler Trosin - Trosin, a bounceback from Oregon State, lit up Sac City by grabbing five receptions for 140 yards and three scores as ARC downed the Panthers 34-7.

DeAnza WR Bryan Fobbs - Fobbs put up huge numbers -- 15 receptions for 232 yards and two scores -- in the Dons' 27-21 win over Contra Costa last weekend.

Contra Costa WR Terrance Barnes - Barnes put up solid numbers for the Comets, hauling in six receptions for 107 yards, but his team still dropped their game with DeAnza by a score of 27-21.

Santa Rosa WR Andre Davis - The sophomore had just four receptions, but he went for 151 yards and a score as Santa Rosa got a 34-21 win over Diablo Valley.

Foothill WR Conor Dunn - Dunn posted six receptions for 116 yards and one touchdown in Foothill's 24-7 win over Yuba.

Foothill WR Karim Jones - Not to be outdone by his teammate, Jones had a solid game as well for the Owls, hauling in six grabs for 104 yards in the 24-7 win over Yuba.

College of the Redwoods WR Michael Malkowski - The freshman burst onto the scene over the weekend by totaling 10 catches for 212 yards and a score as Redwoods downed San Jose 28-21.

San Joaquin Delta WR T.J. Brown - Brown hauled in six receptions for 195 yards and three touchdowns in the Mustangs' 52-6 win over Reedley last weekend.

College of the Canyons WR Travion Tucker - Tucker had eight receptions for 172 yards and three scores in COC's stunning 31-28 win over fourth-ranked Saddleback last weekend.

Saddleback WR Dominick Ela - Ela did his best to keep the Gauchos in the game, hauling in 14 receptions for 197 yards and a score, but fourth-ranked Saddleback still lost to College of the Canyons by a score of 31-28.

Ventura WR Dylan McDaniel - McDaniel hauled in a team-high 10 receptions for 120 yards and two touchdowns in Ventura's 44-42 win over Long Beach last week.

L.A. Harbor WR Corey Butler - The freshman hauled in a game-high eight receptions for 181 yards including a 74-yard touchdown, but the Seahawks still lost by a score of 48-17 to Golden West.

Long Beach WR Josiah Blandin - Blandin had his second huge game for Long Beach, hauling in six receptions for 110 yards, but the Vikings still fell to 0-2 on the season by losing 44-42 to Ventura. In two games, the Arizona State bounceback has 13 receptions for 215 yards and a touchdown.

L.A. Valley WR Lawrence Oliver - Oliver posted five receptions for 96 yards and three scores, including the game-winner with 2:23 left to give the Monarchs a 28-23 win over Southwestern.

L.A. Pierce WR Isaiah Nelson - In the Brahmas' thrilling 38-31 win over Mt. San Jacinto, Nelson posted four receptions for 125 yards and the game-winning touchdown, a 57-yard scoring combo with QB Nick Arbuckle, to with 8:46 remaining in the game.

Orange Coast WR D.J. McFadden - The freshman posted six catches for 124 yards and two scores and helped lead the Pirates to a 27-23 win over Pasadena last weekend.

San Bernardino Valley WR Darian Barrientos - Barrientos had five receptions for 106 yards and a touchdown as the Wolverines downed Glendale 45-18.

Fort Scott WR Chevelle Buie - Buie hauled in 20 receptions for 195 yards in a 62-39 loss to Coffeyville last weekend.

Fort Scott WR Jared Dangerfield - Dangerfield had nine receptions for 110 yards and two scores in the Greyhounds' 62-39 loss to Coffeyville.

Mesa WR Cody Saul - The sophomore grabbed 11 balls for 190 yards and two scores in a 58-55 loss to Scottsdale. In four games, Saul has hauled in 27 receptions for 475 yards and six touchdowns.

Itawamba WR Jacquez McMillian - The freshman exploded in the Indians' 23-13 win over Mississippi Delta last weekend, hauling in 10 receptions for 151 yards.

Independence WR Greg McKillion - McKillion posted nine receptions for 102 yards in a 79-0 loss to Butler.

Jones WR JaMicheal Willis - The Wildcats handed Pearl River 34-16 defeat and Willis had a big hand in that, grabbing eight passes for 198 yards and three touchdowns on the day.

Dodge City WR William French - The freshman was a big contributor in Dodge City's big 40-34 OT win over Hutchinson last week as he totaled eight receptions for 140 yards and one touchdown.

Navarro WR Devin Lauderdale - In the Bulldogs' 58-10 win over Cisco, Lauderdale hauled in six receptions for 181 yards and three scores.

Hinds WR Keithon Redding - Redding had four receptions for 165 yards and two scores, but the Eagles still lost 41-34 to Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Nassau WR Antwane Grant - Last week, in Nassau's 34-7 win over Monroe, the sophomore wideout totaled eight receptions for 131 yards and a score. In three games this season, Grant has posted 14 receptions for 320 yards and three touchdowns.
