Top Performers - Defensive Linemen

A look at some of the top performances from JUCO defensive linemen last weekend and how their football seasons are coming along...

Trinity Valley DE Jhaustin Thomas - Thomas leads the nation with 8.5 sacks while also totaling 32 tackles (23 solo) and 6.5 tackles-for-loss while helping lead TVC to a 4-2 record. In their 44-23 win over Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, the sophomore defensive end had five tackles and three quarterback hurries.


East Mississippi DE Jimmie Gipson - Gipson racked up eight tackles (five solo) and one sack in EMC's 55-0 win over Holmes. This season, the sophomore defensive end has 32 tackles (22 solo) and seven sacks while helping to lead his team to a 6-0 record.


Kilgore DT Cliff Butler - The freshman had eight tackles (five solo) and two sacks in Kilgore's 22-17 loss to Blinn last weekend.


New Mexico Military DE Terry Ayeni - In the Broncos' 77-56 loss to Scottsdale, Ayeni had two tackles, two sacks and two tackles-for-loss.


Mesa DE Damani Mosby - In Mesa's 27-21 win over Phoenix College, Mosby had six tackles (three solo), three tackles-for-loss and three sacks.


Diablo Valley DT Tui Talia - The Oregon commit totaled four tackles (two solo), 2.5 sacks and three tackles-for-loss in Diablo Valley's 47-18 win over Merced. Talia leads DVC with 35 tackles and 7.5 sacks while also posting eight tackles-for-loss.


College of the Sequoias DE Jamil Davis - The freshman, seeing his first action of the season, posted three tackles (two solo), a sack and a forced fumble in the Giants' 41-39 win over DeAnza.


American River DE Karmah Yates - Yates totaled five tackles (three solo), 2.5 sacks, 3.5 tackles-for-loss and a forced fumble in ARC's big 34-13 win over City College of San Francisco last weekend.


City College of San Francisco DE Trevor Trammell - Trammell totaled six tackles, one sack, 1.5 tackles-for-loss and one forced fumble in the Rams' 34-13 loss to American River last weekend. While playing in three games, the freshman has racked up 14 tackles, 3.5 sacks and a forced fumble.


Modesto DE Tyler Juncker - In Modesto's 68-40 loss to Butte, the sophomore totaled 10 tackles (five solo) one sack and one tackle-for-loss.


Cerritos DT David Moala - Moala was named the Northern Conference Defensive Player of the Week after he helped lead Cerritos to a 30-5 win over Pasadena by totaling seven tackles (4 solo), 2.5 tackles-for-loss, two hurry, one sack, a forced fumble and pass breakup.


Pasadena DE Dale Pierson - Pierson totaled eight tackles (five solo), 1.5 sacks and two tackles-for-loss, but Pasadena still lost by a score of 30-5 to Cerritos.


Mt. San Antonio DT Lolani Fa'aloua - The freshman led the Mounties with six tackles and also had a tackle-for-loss in Mt. San Antonio's 51-7 win over College of the Desert.
