Top Performers - Quarterbacks

Saddleback QB Tim Belman had a huge day while leading the Gauchos to a 52-28 win over Ventura over the weekend. Here is a look at his performance as well as several other top JUCO quarterbacks from the past week and how they have performed so far this season...

Saddleback QB Tim Belman - Belman was a man amongst boys, completing 34 of his 48 attempts for 465 yards and four touchdowns in the Gauchos' 52-28 win over Ventura last weekend. So far this season, the sophomore signal-caller has completed 63.1% of his passes for 1,906 yards, 14 touchdowns and six interceptions.


Fullerton QB Jose Escobar - Escobar went 24 of 34 for 389 yards with a touchdown and three picks as he led the Hornets to a 38-36 win over Riverside. The sophomore's touchdown pass came with just 26 seconds left in the game and gave Fullerton the points they needed to stay undefeated on the season.


Merced QB Javon Smith - The 6'2", 220-pounder went 17 of 36 for 381 yards with three touchdowns and a pick as Merced downed Sacramento 38-27.


Grossmont QB William Abt - Even though the freshman went 28 of 54 for 387 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions, the Griffs weren't able to outlast Mt. San Antonio, falling to the Mounties by a score of 34-31.


Orange Coast QB Jack Foster - The freshman completed 24 of his 42 attempts for 318 yards with two touchdowns and one interception as Orange Coast got a 40-30 win over College of the Desert.


Feather River QB Ja'Quay Garmon - Garmon hit on 16 of his 30 attempts for 371 yards and four touchdowns while leading the Golden Eagles to a 53-24 win over Yuba.


Long Beach QB Kenny Potter - The freshman continues to put up impressive numbers, going 27 of 37 for 301 yards with two touchdown passes while rushing for a game-high 174 yards and two more scores in Long Beach's 55-33 win over Santa Ana.


Golden West QB Chris d'Entremont - Another freshman putting up big numbers, d'Entremont hit on 24 of his 35 attempts for 312 yards with two touchdowns as the Rustlers handled Pasadena by a score of 45-10. While leading Golden West to a 5-1 record, d'Entremont has completed 61.0% of his passes for 1,189 yards 12 touchdowns and only four picks.


Scottsdale QB Blake Decker - In Scottsdale's 51-14 win over Glendale, Decker went 32 of 49 for 477 yards with four touchdowns and one interception and rushed for 65 yards. While leading the Chokes to a 6-1 record, the sophomore has completed 59.7% of his passes for 3,091 yards with 31 touchdowns and eight interceptions and he's rushed for close to 250 yards and three scores as well.


Jones QB Steven Swindle - Swindle went 33 of 60 for 428 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in Jones' 24-20 loss to Hinds, the Bobcats' first loss of the season. The freshman has completed 59.4% of his attempts for 2,047 yards with 14 touchdowns and five interceptions.


Copiah-Lincoln QB Daniel Fitzwater - The freshman hit on 27 of his 38 attempts for 344 yards and three touchdowns in Co-Lin's 37-27 win over Pearl River. For the season, Fitzwater has completed 57.8% of his passes for 1,631 yards with 13 touchdowns and four picks.


East Mississippi QB Dontreal Pruitt - In 59-0 win over Northeast Mississippi, Pruitt went 19 of 32 for 327 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for 60 yards and another score.


Arizona Western QB Tyler Rogers - Rogers completed 20 of his 27 attempts for 248 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 84 yards and three touchdowns in the Matadors' 47-27 win over New Mexico Military.


Trinity Valley QB Ryan Polite - Polite went 29 for 45 for 323 with three touchdowns and on interception in TVC's 34-18 win over Blinn last weekend. The sophomore has completed 68.2% of his passes for 2,136 yards with 18 touchdowns and six interceptions while running for 184 yards and three touchdowns.
