Brown opens things up

Things have opened back up for Grossmont CB Kweishi Brown (6-0, 185) who had been a commit to Arkansas since mid-July. The talented defensive back has been mum so far on his reasoning, but he informed JCFootball.com via message that he has indeed decommitted from the Razorbacks and has opened up his recruitment to other schools...

"I decommitted today (Tuesday) from Arkansas. Just letting you know," Brown said in a message.

When he committed to the Razorbacks back in July, Brown was seeing quite a bit of interest from schools across the country and also had an offer from Kansas State.

As a freshman in 2012, rown totaled 28 tackles, two tackles-for-loss and led the team with eight passes defensed and seven interceptions, finishing tied for second in the state in the final category.

So far this season, Brown has locked down his side and has also shown the ability to come up and make plays in run-support as he's posted 42 tackles while also recovering two fumbles, posting 10 passes defensed and also has hauled in four interceptions.

The list of suitors for Brown appears to be picking up steam and we hope to confirm what new offers, if any, he is considering.

We will have more on this breaking news as it becomes available or we are able to reach Brown.
