Trips Will Make the Difference For Pierson

As one of the top JUCO pass-rushers in the country, Pasadena DE Dale Pierson (6-3, 260) is a young man who many schools want to get into the fold. JCFootball.com recently caught up with the talented prospects and he updated us on his future plans which includes taking an unofficial visit this weekend...

"I'm taking an unofficial visit to Fresno State this weekend," Pierson told JCFootball.com. "They wanted me to visit officially, but I live so close to there, I just decided to take an unofficial so I can save an official visit to a school that I wouldn't just be able to drive to."

In addition to his trip this weekend to see the Bulldogs, Pierson has already visited Iowa State (November 23rd) and he has trips planned to Illinois (January 17th) and possibly a Pac 12 school.

"Cal has been talking to me about visiting and I'm thinking about it, but I haven't scheduled it yet," Pierson noted. "They'd like me to come in on January 24th, the weekend after I visit Illinois, so that is one I'm looking at but I'm not really sure quite yet."

As freshman in 2012, Pierson posted 64 tackles and 6.5 sacks for the Lancers, leading them in both categories and this past season he racked up a team-leading 11.5 sacks and 19 tackles-for-loss to go along with 48 tackles, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries, earning All-Conference, All-Region and All-State recognition.

He's set to sign with a school in February and he will have three years to play two starting in the fall of 2014.
