UAB picks up JUCO QB

Cerritos QB Cody Clements (6-2, 210), a bounceback from Washington State, has committed to sign with UAB on Signing Day tomorrow...

Clements prepped at La Habra (Ca.) High School and signed with Washington State, but decided to transfer when the head coach that recruited him, Paul Wulff, was let go.

He enrolled at Cerritos during the summer, taking over the Falcons' offense from Arizona-bound B.J. Denker, and proceeded to complete 58.3% of his passes for 1,953 yards with 16 touchdowns and seven interceptions while rushing for 198 yards and two more scores.

He is set to sign with UAB tomorrow (Wednesday), the first day of the mid-year signing period, and he will have two years to play two starting in the fall of 2014.
