Mann talks recruiting

One of the top dual-threat players in the JUCO ranks this past season was Hartnell RB DeAndre Mann (5-10, 205) and he updated JCFootball.com recently about how recruiting is progressing, including which schools he plans to visit next month...

"Things have been going great," Mann told JCFootball.com. "My season went well and I've got a few offers and I'll be taking three more visits next month."

The offers include Georgia State, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, New Mexico, Purdue, Utah State and Western Kentucky and Mann broke down his itinerary.

"I am visiting Kansas on the 17th (of January), Georgia State on the 24th and Idaho on the 31st," Mann said. "I visited Western Kentucky back on the first weekend of December."

This season, Mann finished a solid two-year stay with Hartnell by rushing for 1,706 yards and 27 touchdowns while hauling in 27 receptions for 331 yards and three more scores.

"They used me in different ways and tried to get me the ball in space," Mann said. "That's what most schools like about me is that I'm so versatile and that I can make guys miss in space."

Mann is on pace to graduate in May and he will have three years to play two starting this coming fall.
