Brady Talks Visits, Recruiting

Tyler was loaded with talented players along the offensive line. One earned NJCAA All-American honors and one signed with Florida. The third standout, OT Caleb Brady (6-6, 295), continues to go through the recruiting process and he updated on his upcoming visits as well as when you can expect to see a decision on where he will play in 2014...

"Things have definitely been picking up," Brady told "I have offers from Colorado State, Southern Miss, Texas State and San Diego State right now and I'm pretty close to getting one from Arkansas State, but they haven't officially offered me yet."

As far as trips are concerned, Brady's 'dance card' is filling up.

"I will visit Southern Miss this coming weekend, Colorado State on the 24th (of January) and Arkansas State the weekend of the 31st," Brady said. "I'm looking at some other visits too, but those are the three I know I'm taking right now."

Brady is an agile lineman who has the ability to play on either side of the line and he said he takes pride in one aspect of his game.

"I love to pass-block and feel like I have the feet and skills to face off against anyone," Brady noted. "I played right tackle and left tackle, depending on where my team needed me, so it really wasn't that hard for me.

"I like run-blocking too and I feel like I can do both really well, but I love to pass-block."

Brady prepped at Brewer (Tx.) High School and was unable to qualify, so he decided to go the JC-route.

"Originally, I was supposed to go to Blinn, but I decided to stay closer to home here at Tyler," Brady acknowledged. "It was a good decision for me. We have a great program here and I liked the academic side too."

Brady said he hopes to make a decision shortly after returning from his final visit. Wherever he winds up, the talented prospect will have three years to play two starting this fall.
