Stuart says yes to Boise State

A couple of weeks ago, Butte QB Thomas Stuart (6-1, 200) appeared as if he would return to the Roadrunners for his sophomore season this fall. That all changed this weekend when, on his official visit to Boise State, that he decided to commit to the Broncos...

"Excited to be a Boise State Bronco," Stuart said on his Facebook page Sunday afternoon.

As a freshman this past season, Stuart earned Nor Cal Offensive Player of the Year, First Team All-Region, First Team All-Confrence, National Championship Game MVP and Northern California Championship Game MVP.

In Butte's run-heavy offense, Stuart wasn't asked to do much, but still managed to complete nearly 65% of his passes for 1,927 yards with 29 touchdowns and just three interceptions. He also rushed for 153 yards and six more scores while leading Butte to a 12-0 record and a national title.

He will have four years to play three starting this fall.
