Pac 12 Visit On Tap For Morris

After a solid sophomore season this past fall, Mesa CB Demarlon Morris (6-0, 185) has been touring different schools that have either shown him some interest or have offered. This weekend, he will take a visit to a Pac 12 school and he hopes to walk away with another offer at the concluding of his trip...

"I'm going to Oregon State this weekend," Morris told JCFootball.com. "They haven't offered officially yet, but they basically said if I visited that I would get an offer, so that's what I am hoping for."

In addition to his interest from Oregon State and his trip to Corvallis this weekend, Morris also sports offers from California, Hawaii, Indiana, Kansas State and Wisconsin and he's taken trips to see Indiana, Kansas State and Utah.

Morris finished the 2013 with 52 tackles, a team-leading five interceptions to go along with seven pass breakups and he also chipped in with three blocked kicks as well.

As a return man, Morris handled both kickoffs and punts, averaging 23.6 yards on 11 kickoff returns and 20.7 yards on 18 punt returns including a 77-yard touchdown.

"Most schools want me to return kicks and punts as well as play corner," Morris said.

Morris is on pace to graduate in May and he will have three years to play two starting this fall.
