Machado Makes The Switch

Over the past year, Pasadena OL Miguel Machado (6-6, 285) has seen his stock rise and on the Thursday before Signing Day, which is on February 5th, he made the decision to switch his commitment from Washington State to Purdue...

"I'm going to Purdue," was the announcement on Machado's Twitter page.

The talented lineman committed to Washington State back in December, but since then, he had been wavering.

He chose the Boilermakers over offers from the likes of Akron, Arkansas State, Colorado State, East Carolina, Illinois, Louisville, Michigan State, New Mexico and Temple among others.

In all, Machado had 24 offers and was also hearing quite a bit from Miami although the Hurricanes never extended an offer his way.

He will sign his letter of intent on Wednesday, February 5th, and he will have three years to play two starting this fall.
