Could Things Be Heating Up For Brummel?

Butte won the national championship this past season and one of the big contributors on offense was TE Bo Brummel (6-3, 245). He's currently finishing up his academic work and he's hoping to make a decision in the next few weeks after taking at least a couple of visits...

"Things have been going pretty well," Brummel told JCFootball.com. "I have offers from Indiana State and Northern Colorado and I'm setting up a visit with Indiana State here real soon. I will probably visit there in a week or two.

"I have also heard from Illinois. I guess they had something fall through on Signing Day (February 5th) and they have a scholarship available. They want to evaluate some more guys before they decide what to do, so they asked me to be patient and they would get back to me."

As a freshman in 2012, Brummel posted eight receptions for 120 yards and two scores and he followed that up by posting 22 receptions for 302 yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore this past season.

"I split time with Richard Murphy at tight end," Brummel noted. "He signed with UNC Charlotte. He's a really good player and talented. He took some of the pressure off of me and we both sorta complimented each other."

Brummel is on pace to finish up his AA degree in May and he will have three years to play two starting this fall.
