Pac 12 School Is Latest Offer For DeSouza

City College of San Francisco OT Dominic DeSouza (6-7, 295) already has five early offers and he is proving to be one of the more intriguing JUCO prospects for an offensive lineman that can come in and challenge for playing time right away in 2015...

"Right now, I have offers from Nevada, Western Kentucky, UTSA, Idaho and Oregon State just offered me (on Friday)," DeSouza told JCFootball.com. "Arizona State has been talking to me a lot, but as of now, they haven't offered."

DeSouza enjoyed a solid prep career at Terra Nova High School in Pacifica, California, but he was a class short of being able to qualify, so he headed to CCSF to continue playing and get himself qualified so he can play at the next level.

"They have a great program here and I liked their offense. I thought it fit me perfectly," DeSouza noted.

As a freshman this past season, the talented offensive lineman started at the "speed" tackle spot and held his own.

"We face some really talented guys every week in our league, so it was really challenging, but I think I did pretty well," DeSouza said. "I am at my best as a pass-blocker and getting out on screens. I'm athletic for a guy my size and it's always come pretty naturally to me, so it's where I'm most comfortable.

"This offseason I'm working a lot on my strength and getting my body up and ready for the season. I also want to get quicker feet, so I'm doing a lot of speed drills and agility stuff and that should help me a lot."

DeSouza is on pace to finish up his two-year degree in December and he will have three years to play two following the 2014 football season.
