Three Offers Already In The Books For Works

A player in the California JUCO ranks that is starting to pop up on recruiting radars is Mt. San Jacinto OT James Works (6-5, 285). The talented offensive lineman already has three offers and more could be on the way as a handful of four-year programs have started to pick things up as well...

"My offers right now are Marshall, East Carolina and Georgia State," Works told JCFootball.com recently. "I've also been talking with Oklahoma State, Arizona State and South Florida and I've also been hearing from Kentucky and LSU too."

Works, who hails from Columbia, South Carolina, said the ECU coaches plan to drop by for an in-home visit and that he plans to take an official visit to see the school this summer.

As a freshman last fall, Works held down the right tackle spot for the Eagles, using his outstanding natural athleticism and size to fend off pass rushers while also displaying physicality in the running game.

"I feel like I'm at my best as a pass-blocker, but I can do both," Works said. "I have quick feet and good technique and I like to get after guys."

Works is on pace to finish up his two-year degree next spring and he will have three years to play two following the 2014 football season.
