Could Barr Be A Late Addition?

Many teams didn't know that Citrus WR Raphael Barr (6-2, 205) was available to sign with a school this summer, but one Big Ten program did their homework and with a visit there over the next few days, the talented wideout's future could start to come into focus...

"I took a visit up here and I'm just hanging out right now," Barr told JCFootball.com. "I'll be up here until Tuesday and then sorta figure out what I am going to do.

"If I commit to them and sign, I will come out here in mid-July, that's what they are saying, so I need to make a decision here pretty quickly."

While helping to lead his team to an 8-3 record, Barr managed to post 27 receptions for 408 yards and six scores.

In addition to his offer from the Illini for this fall, Barr also has full rides from the likes of UAB, New Mexico and South Alabama.

"I had some other schools close to offering too, but I don't think any of them really knew that I was a qualifier, so they didn't get that serious with me," Barr said. "Illinois has been great with how they've researched my academics and I'm really liking what they have to offer."

Should Barr decide to sign with a school this summer, he would have four years to play three starting this fall.
