Blandin Headed Back To The Pac 12

Long Beach WR Josiah Blandin (6-4, 200) left Arizona State after the coaching change, so he headed to play for the Vikings and he had a very nice freshman campaign. He garnered some early offers, but on Tuesday he decided he'd heard enough and decided to head back to the Pac 12, albeit at a school just north of where he was originally...

"I committed to Colorado," a happy Blandin told JCFootball.com. "I just felt like the staff up there was the right staff for me to play for and I really liked their offense and what they are doing there.

"I felt I could maximize my potential there and they are building a really good program right now. I wanted to be a part of it."

Blandin chose the Buffs over offers from Utah, UAB and Illinois and heavy interest from the rest of the Pac 12 and some other programs.

"I'm not completely shutting my recruiting down yet, but it's going to take a lot to pull me away from Colorado," Blandin said. "I'm still willing to listen to anyone, but Colorado is the place I wanted to be and that's why I chose them."

As a redshirt freshman in 2013, Blandin finished second on the team in receptions (41) and yards (627) and he finished third with four touchdown receptions.

Blandin said he plans to take a visit to Boulder to check out what the program and school has to offer when Colorado plays UCLA (October 25th).

The talented wideout redshirted his one year at Arizona State, back in 2012, and he played last season. He is on pace to finish up his AA degree in December and he will have two years to play two following the 2014 football season.
