Haley Joins The Beavers

Golden West LB Kyle Haley (6-1, 215) will play for Oregon State this fall and he told JCFootball.com, shortly before flying out to Corvallis, what led to his decision to become a Beaver and where they want him to play...

"I've signed and I'm just getting ready to fly out and head up there to start playing for them right away," Haley told JCFootball.com from the airport. "I had an offer from Iowa State and Oregon State, but OSU is the school I wanted to play for because I really liked the staff there and I felt like it was a great chance for me to come up there and get ready to go right away and then when I'm a junior, I am used to things and what the coaches are looking for and it's not all new to me."

As a freshman in 2013, Haley finished second on the Rustlers with 56 tackles and also posted 3.5 sacks, 5.5 tackles-for-loss, two fumble recoveries and an interception.

Haley enjoyed a nice prep career at Western High School in Anaheim, California, but he didn't receive the offers he was looking for as a senior, so he decided to head to Golden West to continue playing college football.

Haley will have four years to play three starting this fall.
