JUCO Wideout Is Up To Four Offers

Phoenix College WR Kayaune Ross (6-6, 220) is attracting a lot of early offers and interest and JCFootball.com caught up with the talented redshirt freshman to get his thoughts on things...

"My offers right now are from Akron, North Texas, Ohio and Bowling Green, Arizona State and North Texas," Ross told JCFootball.com. "Louisville is probably the one talking to me the most right now. They really seem to want me and I think they are getting close to offering. I've also been talking to Kansas a lot and Texas has been showing interest too."

So far this season, the redshirt freshman wideout has hauled in 15 receptions for 210 yards and two touchdowns in five games this season.

"My coaches use me in a lot of different ways," Ross said. "Whatever I can do to help my team, I'll do it.

"They use me in motion, out wide, out of the slot. They put me all over the place and they ask me to make plays. I really like the role they are using me in."

As a prep, Ross enjoyed a solid prep career at Lakota West High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, but his grades precluded him from being able to sign a scholarship with a four-year program.

"I had a buddy who came out here to Phoenix and he got me together with the coaches," Ross said. "I just liked the role they had for me here and the fact it would just get me someplace new. It was a good fit overall for me."

Ross is on pace to finish up his degree in May, but said there is a decent chance he will finish up in December, depending on his transferable credits. Wherever he winds up, Ross will have three years to play three following the 2014 football season.
