Top Performers - Defensive Line

There were some standout performances by JUCO defensive lineman last weekend and today we take a look at several of them including Fort Scott freshman Koron Crump whose big day helped lead the Greyhounds to a win over Garden City...

Fort Scott DE Koron Crump - Crump had a great game in Fort Scott’s 32-28 win over Garden City, totaling seven tackles, two sacks and five tackles-for-loss.

Monroe DE Tuzar Skipper - Skipper, a freshman, totaled nine tackles, five tackles-for-loss and a sack in the Mustangs’ 14-13 win over Lackawanna last weekend. The defensive end leads Monroe with 37 tackles, 3.5 sacks and 16.5 tackles-for-loss.

Iowa Western DT Mike Edwards - The sophomore racked up eight tackles, two sacks and a fumble recovery in the Reivers’ 65-27 win over College of DuPage. Edwards leads Iowa Western with seven sacks and 13.5 tackles-for-loss while also ranking third with 52 tackles.

Navarro DT Quincy Vasser - Vasser posted four tackles, two sacks and two tackles-for-loss in the Bulldogs’ 58-45 win over Tyler. This season, the sophomore has totaled 41 tackles, 15 tackles-for-loss and four sacks.

Southwest Mississippi DT Omarius Bryant - Bryant had a monster game in the Bears’ 38-14 win over East Central, posting 20 tackles, one sack, two tackles-for-loss, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. In seven games, the sophomore has racked up 72 tackles, five sacks, six tackles-for-loss, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

Mississippi Gulf Coast DT Maurice Swain - Swain had seven tackles, a sack and a tackle-for-loss in the Bulldogs’ 29-26 loss to Copiah-Lincoln. From his interior defensive line spot, the sophomore has racked up 27 tackles, 4.5 sacks and 6.5 tackles-for-loss.

Mississippi Gulf Coast DE Joe Sanders - The freshman had seven tackles, a sack and a tackle-for-loss in the Bulldogs’ 29-26 loss to Copiah-Lincoln. It was Sanders’ biggest game so far this season. In eight games, he’s totaled 25 tackles, two sacks and three tackles-for-loss.

Nassau DT Ali Ali-Musa - Ali-Musa, a freshman, totaled eight tackles, two sacks, three tackles-for-loss and two forced fumbles as the Lions posted a 38-0 win over Dean.

Merced DT Kamilo Tongamoa - Tongamoa had eight tackles, two sacks, 3.5 tackles-for-loss, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery as the Blue Devils downed Monterey Peninsula by a score of 27-20.

West Hills DE Tashad Charity - Charity posted six tackles, two sacks and 2.5 tackles-for-loss in West Hills’ 48-43 win over Reedley.

City College of San Francisco DE Nehemiah Mitchell - The sophomore defensive end racked up six tackles, one sack and two tackles-for-loss in CCSF’s 62-7 win over Foothill on the road.

City College of San Francisco DE Tavita Faaiu - The sophomore posted four tackles, a sack and 2.5 tackles-for-loss in the Rams’ 62-7 win over Foothill on the road.

Butte DE Sie Doe - Doe posted four tackles, three sacks, 3.5 tackles-for-loss and three quarterback hurries as the Roadrunners got a 65-9 win over Feather River. In six games this season, the redshirt sophomore has totaled 33 tackles, 8.5 sacks and 11.5 tackles-for-loss.

L.A. Harbor DE Jessie Clark - Clark worked hard in the Seahawks’ 31-12 loss to Riverside, totaling 11 tackles, one sack, one tackle-for-loss, one forced fumble and four quarterback hurries.

Santa Barbara DE Luigi Dorzin - Dorzin posted two sacks, two sacks and two tackles-for-loss in the Vaqueros’ 21-3 win over L.A. Valley.

Palomar DE Dylan Donahue - Donahue totaled five tackles, 1.5 sacks, 1.5 tackles-for-loss and a pass breakup in the Comets’ 20-10 win over Orange Coast.

Chaffey DE Dillon Hedgpeth - The Panthers got a 40-36 win over Long Beach and the versatile sophomore had a big game posting eight tackles, 2.5 tackles-for-loss and one quarterback hurry.

Southwestern DT Michael Molina - Molina had four tackles, two sacks, two tackles-for-loss and a fumble recovery in the Jaguars’ 37-13 win over East Los Angeles. In five games this season, the sophomore defensive lineman has totaled 22 tackles, four sacks, 10 tackles-for-loss, one fumble recovery and a blocked field goal.

West Hills DE Maurice Daniels - The sophomore leads the state with 11.5 sacks and he added 1.5 to his total in last week’s 48-43 win over Reedley. He also added five tackles and 3.5 tackles-for-loss.
