Here's a look at some of the top JUCO quarterback performances from last weekend including the huge day Snow's Alex Kuresa had in a big 49-21 win over Glendale...

Snow QB Alex Kuresa - The sophomore had a huge game for the Badgers in their 49-21 win over Glendale, completing 18 of his 28 attempts for 261 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions while rushing for 128 yards and another score in the victory. This season, while leading his team to an 8-2 record, Kuresa has completed 62.7% of his passes (185 of 295) for 2,374 yards, 25 touchdowns and nine picks while leading the team with 592 yards rushing and ranking second with eight rushing touchdowns.

Trinity Valley QB Jerod Evans - The freshman signal-caller had a huge game in TVC’s 73-46 win over Tyler, hitting on 17 of his 30 attempts for 261 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 109 yards and two more scores. This season, while splitting reps with Kyle Postma, Evans has completed 65.4% of his passes (70 of 107) for 1,001 yards with 14 touchdowns and two scores.

East Mississippi QB Chad Kelly - Kelly went 28 of 38 for 332 yards and three touchdowns in the Lions’ 54-15 win over Copiah-Lincoln. This season, the Clemson bounceback has gone 263 of 400 (65.8%) for 3,472 yards with 42 touchdowns and eight interceptions while leading EMCC to a perfect 11-0 record and the MACJC Championship.

Mesa QB Austin Apodaca - The Washington State bounceback went 17 of 33 for 239 yards and four scores while rushing for 19 yards and another score in Mesa’s 34-17 win over Pima.

Scottsdale QB Michael Sanders - Sanders hit on 28 of his 47 attempts for 411 yards, but he was intercepted three times and he only threw two touchdowns as the Artichokes dropped their game with Arizona Western by a score of 52-27. The sophomore had a heck of a season for Scottsdale, completing 62.3% of his passes for 3,535 yards, 35 touchdowns and eight interceptions while helping to lead his team to an 8-2 record.

Riverside QB Nicholas King - The sophomore completed 20 of his 30 attempts for 311 yards and three scores while rushing for 72 yards in the Tigers’ 49-21 win over Chaffey.

Modesto QB Trey Cooper - The freshman signal-caller went 23 of 39 for 372 yards and three touchdowns with one interception while rushing for 176 yards and two more scores on 32 carries in Modesto’s huge 49-42 win over Fresno.

Yuba QB Datwon Melvin - In Yuba’s 35-14 win over College of the Redwoods, the sophomore completed 22 of his 34 pass attempts for 227 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He also rushed for a game-high 138 yards and a touchdown in the victory.

Fullerton QB Johannes Verhaegh - The freshman finished the day 24 of 33 for 255 yards and three scores while also rushing for another 58 yards in Fullerton’s 38-17 win over Palomar.

West Hills QB Freddy Taliulu - Taliulu went 20 of 31 for 319 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions, leading West Hills to a 38-35 win over Merced.

L.A. Pierce QB Sean Smith - Smith finished the day 24 of 39 for 399 yards, two touchdowns and an interception, but the Brahmas still dropped their game with Antelope Valley by a score of 42-34.

West Los Angeles QB Dallas Lopez - Lopez was almost perfect in West L.A.’s 63-40 win over Southwest L.A., completing 33 of his 36 attempts for 448 yards and seven scores. The sophomore also rushed for 30 yards and another score in the victory. This season, the talented passer has completed 66.4% of his passes for 2,803 yards with 22 touchdowns and seven picks. He’s also rushed for 343 yards and a team-leading 11 touchdowns.

Shasta QB Dylan Desmarais - The sophomore went 20 of 29 for 255 yards with five touchdowns as Shasta got to 7-2 with a 50-9 win over Los Medanos. This season, Desmarais has hit on 166 of his 294 attempts (56.5%) for 2,386 yards, 26 touchdowns and five interceptions.

Santa Rosa QB Christian McAlvain - In Santa Rosa’s 45-28 win over Foothill, the sophomore signal-caller hit on 22 of his 33 attempts for 324 yards and four scores. McAlvain also carried the ball 10 times for 62 yards and two more scores as well.

Golden West QB Chris d'Entremont - In the Rustlers’ 55-7 win over Orange Coast, the sophomore finished the day 17 of 26 for 258 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for another score.

Hartnell QB Michael Turner - The sophomore finished the day 28 of 43 for 371 yards and four touchdowns in Hartnell’s 28-24 win over Reedley.

Southwestern QB Luis Perez - Perez wound up finishing 31 of 44 for 299 yards and three touchdowns as he led the Jaguars to a 46-44 win over San Bernardino Valley last weekend.
