Potter Set To Sign With SJSU

Long Beach QB Kenny Potter (6-2, 207) will sign with San Jose State this week...

Long Beach head coach Brett Peabody informed JCFootball.com that Potter will sign with San Jose State when the mid-year signing period begins on Wednesday.

The sophomore signal-caller chose the Spartans over offers from Idaho, San Diego State and UNLV.

While dealing with a broken left (non-throwing) arm, Potter still led his team with 1,726 yards passing while completing nearly 63% of his passes. He also had 15 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Potter also rushed for 435 yards on 66 carries and ranked second on the Vikings with seven touchdowns on the ground.

Potter will have three years to play two starting in 2015.
