Recruiting Picks Up For Eastern Arizona DE

Eastern Arizona freshman DE Sean Adesanya (6-4, 230) just received his second offer and may take some visits next month...

"My coach just told me that Illinois offered me," Adesanya told JCFootball.com. "I already had an offer from Memphis, so that makes two schools that have offered and I think there are more that are after me, like Arizona, but they haven't offered yet."

Adesanya actually took an official visit to see the Wildcats' big win over cross-state rival Arizona State the final weekend of November and he said he may take a couple more in the coming weeks.

"I haven't scheduled a visit to see Memphis yet, but I think I will and Illinois is definitely a possibility, I just need to set it up," Adesanya noted.

On the field, Adesanya had a solid freshman campaign, racking up 47 tackles and 5.5 sacks in just nine game.

"I played the strong defensive end spot, but I can play anywhere that my team needs me to play," Adesanya said. "I am balanced. I can stop the run and rush the quarterback.

"One of the big things I need to work on his my technique and maybe getting a few more moves. I already have the athleticism and the speed (4.5), but I need to just keep developing and improving so that I can be more versatile when a guy is trying to block me."

Adesanya enjoyed a solid prep career in New Jersey, but he went overlooked in the recruiting process, so he opted to head to Eastern Arizona on the advice of a former coach.

"I've loved it out here, but I am definitely looking to move on," Adesanya said. "The exposure they got me here was great and the challenges of the guys I faced every day in practice definitely got me better, but I want to find a (four-year) school to keep playing at and I think that might happen soon."

Adesanya is a solid student having fully qualified out of high school and he can sign at any time. Wherever the talented prospect winds up, he will have four years to play three starting in 2015.
