Butler's Hadley Sees Recruiting Pick Up

Butler CB Antwan Hadley (6-3, 207) is a big corner with several schools in hot pursuit of his services and he'll take his first official visit this weekend...

Hadley is in the new breed of big corners that have become en-vogue in both college and in the NFL.

While playing almost strictly corner for the Grizzlies this past season, the 6'3, 207-pounder finished with 73 tackles to go along with 1.5 tackles-for-loss, one interception and seven pass breakups.

"I can do anything coverage wise, man or zone," Hadley told JCFootball.com. "I'm a good, solid tackler."

With his size, good speed (4.45) and athleticism, Hadley burst on the scene this fall and he's got two offers and one other schools getting close to throwing their hat in the ring.

"Western Kentucky and Troy have offered," Hadley noted. "Colorado State wants me too but they haven't offered."

The Rams have told there is a great chance they could extend him an offer if he takes an official visit to Fort Collins and he's working on setting up that trip.

This weekend, Hadley will visit Western Kentucky.

Hadley was a non-qualifier after graduating from Lake Wales High School in Florida, so he decided to go the JC route and Butler was a nice soft landing.

"No other schools recruited me," Hadley said. "They have a great program here and they have a great history of getting guys moved on to the next level, so it was a pretty easy choice."

Hadley will finish up his two-year degree in May and he will have two years to play two starting in the fall.
